I Can Do That!
Have you ever been to a museum and seen a work of art on the wall and thought “I could do that!” to yourself? What if you made a slight grammar change and switched “could” to “can”? I did and it changed my life. In my case, I actually love most styles of abstract art so it wasn’t that big a leap to realize I could do it but the realization that I can do it opened the door to looking at more complex Representational Art and applying the same Spirit of “I can do that!” to those styles. Am I Rembrandt? Not yet, but I’m getting there! I am someone who loves to learn and has fun as I do it. I have applied this same attitude to other areas in my life whether it is learning languages or studying music. The first step is acknowledging the possibility that it is possible to learn a skill. It takes time and dedication but it is possible. Once one skill is learned another skill becomes easier and one starts to see the interconnectedness of things. Two important key points are meta-cognition and meta-learning. So thinking about Thinking and learning about Learning. I hope to provide you with the tools I have picked up over the years and save you a lot of time. While going through the website I recommend you take notes the old fashioned way and write things down. Say the parts you like out loud in your own words. Different study techniques are going to explained and these are two of them. I also encourage you try to incorporate the info provided here into your life so eventually you don’t have to refer to the notes or this website. Live Life and Have Fun!
